Notify Family Members: Inform everyone in your household about the missing pet and assign areas to search.

Check Hiding Spots: Look in hiding spots such as under decks, inside sheds, garages, or any cozy places they might have found.

Use Treats/Toys: Bring along your pet’s favorite treats, toys, or items with familiar scents to attract them.

Call Out & Listen: Call your pet’s name and listen for any response. Pets sometimes respond if they hear familiar voices.

Create Posters: Make eye-catching posters with your pet’s photo, a brief description, your contact information, and where they were last seen. Distribute them in your neighborhood, parks, and local businesses. Make them big so people can see the information from inside their vehicles. Post at lease 6 in high traffic areas around your neighborhood.

Check Microchip Information: If your pet is microchipped, ensure the contact information is up-to-date with the microchip company.

Use Technology: Explore pet-finding apps or websites that can help in locating missing pets by creating alerts in your area. Hire a thermal drone pilot to conduct a thorough search.

The effectiveness of thermal drone technology varies with the seasons. Optimal conditions for utilizing thermal drone technology vary throughout the year. Its effectiveness peaks during fall, after trees shed their leaves, and before new foliage emerges in spring. Cooler months offer a more distinct temperature contrast between pets and their surroundings, simplifying searches.
In wooded areas with dense canopies, both thermal and regular drones are less effective due to reduced visibility through the canopy. Additionally, during this period, the temperature gap between pets and their surroundings may decrease, impacting the efficacy of thermal technology.
Nevertheless, drones remain valuable in summer. Using the visual zoom camera, we cover expansive open spaces like parks and fields, minimizing search areas for ground teams where drone efficiency is limited

We prioritize your call by employing a central dispatcher. In instances where the pilot is occupied in the field, reaching them directly might not always be feasible. Having a dispatcher enables us to promptly gather your information and expedite the scheduling of your search. The dispatcher collects essential details during the call and subsequently contacts the pilot to secure your appointment. Once the pilot confirms the appointment time, either the pilot or dispatcher will get back to you.

Pilot is Scheduled

Once the pilot receives your information they will keep you updated their status and expected arrival time. They may also contact you for additional information.

Pilot Arrives on Site

Once the pilot reaches the location, they’ll gather the most up-to-date information from you and devise a search strategy. They’ll launch the aircraft and commence the search for the lost animal. You’ll have the opportunity to observe the drone’s perspective via an external monitor in real-time.

The Technology

A Thermal Camera, a Spotlight, and a Zoom Camera

Through thermal imaging, we can detect heat signatures and details that could indicate the presence of animals. By employing a zoom camera and spotlight, we enhance our ability to observe and scrutinize the animals in detail.

The central red blip in the image represents a heat signature. By activating the zoom feature and spotlight, we can precisely determine the nature of this blip.

Verification

After identifying a target, we zoom in, allowing you to verify it is your pet. We are also able to do a quick assessment of the pet and get GPS coordinates of its location.

Next, you can scan a barcode or we can provide a link to the precise GPS coordinates to allow you to go to your pet and bring them home safely!

As pets tend to move swiftly, we continue to monitor your pet’s location until your arrival in the area, providing you with real-time updates along the way.
